As a Cyber Risk Advisor at Grant Thornton, you will help various local SMEs and internationally active organizations to better manage their technological and cyber risks.


What does a Cyber Risk Advisor do at Grant Thornton?


As a cyber expert, you are part of a team of technically driven people. You use your acquired experience to independently develop creative solutions tailored to the client's needs. You are also responsible for the practical supervision of the less experienced members of the team and help to develop new opportunities.


  • You are responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of multiple assignments, motivating teams, coaching people and reporting in a clear language to internal and external senior stakeholders.
  • You will evaluate, design and implement cyber risk management solutions in areas such as Security Operations, Identity & Access Management, Cyber Strategy, Technical Security Testing and other relevant areas.
  • You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, identify potential cyber risks and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • You assist in developing and delivering customized cyber security training programs for clients.
  • You will evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures, give recommendations and assist clients in implementing best practices.
  • You work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cyber security solutions with clients' existing technology infrastructure.
  • You stay updated on the latest cyber security trends, technologies and regulatory requirements and advise clients on their potential impact.
  • You develop strong relationships with clients and identify potential new business opportunities.
  • You will further develop your own and our cyber and technology competencies.


Are you the Cyber Risk Advisor we are looking for?


  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, cyber security, applied economics, commercial sciences, computer science or related, or relevant work experience. You have a keen interest in the latest technology trends.
  • You have between 2 and 20 years of relevant work experience in an IT , assurance or cyber related role.
  • Professional certifications, such as CGEIT, CISA, CISM, CISSP, COBIT, CRISC, ITIL or ISO 2700x are a plus.
  • You have excellent communication and writing skills in English and are fluent in Dutch or French.
  • Experience with various security software solutions such as Microsoft Azure, SailPoint, Okta, ServiceNow, Exabeam, CrowdStrike, BitDefender, Kali Linux, ... is a plus.
  • You have good analytical and reporting skills with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
  • You are able to work autonomously with a focus on getting things done.
  • You are willing to interact with our Belgian customers on-site or remotely.
